Rachel Scott studied in the Painting School at the Royal College of Art, London between 1959 and 1964. She was elected member of the London Group in 1965. he work extend from paintings, pottery to small toys out of wool: crocheted bears, elephants, donkeys, owls and pussycats, bears, dogs and horses made out of pipe cleaners bound with wool. She also began pinning and weaving in 1976 and still making tapestry woven rugs on an upright frame loom she build herself from wools she spins on a spinning wheel that her brother made her.
