Ann Vincent

Ann Vincent is a multidisciplinary artist based in Ghent, Belgium. Taking a playful approach, Vincent's work explores material, form and utility. A fascination for the material of wax and a love for sculpting arose the desire to investigate how different shapes, wax and flames collaborate. The shapes express simplicity, while the clay that is used to make the initial sculpture emphasises the nature of a handmade object. The finished candles become both a sculptural object, as well as an ever changing shape when they are lit.
