Rice Storage Box

Made in Japan

Kiri (paulownia wood) have been traditionally used for making storage boxes and furniture to keep valuables such as kimonos and a variety of goods that need to be protected from moisture and insects.
This box is designed for storing rice, but can be used to keep anything around your house in it. The box is constructed from solid Kiri by hand joining without using nails nor screws. Kiri is a fine-grained wood that is lightweight and resistant to warp, perfect for maintaining the freshness of rice by removing excess moisture and keeping the container airtight. The lid can easily be removed for cleaning. Comes with a small kiri cup for scooping and measuring rice.

Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly before use again.
