Bottleneck Vase

£75.00

Made in Japan

A potter Asuka Juba lives in countryside of Japan with her husband who is also a potter and their children. They grow crops in their field and cook them in her earthen ware on a daily basis. Asuka makes her own glaze prepared from her own rice straws. Every piece is wood fired, you can see the trace of ashes fallen on them during firing.

I am attracted to the rawness and strength of her potteries. They are made for use, and you can rely on them to serve whatever you cook well on them.

Dimensions: Approx. Ø6cm x 11.5cm
